SCHOOL COORDINATORS

Position Overview

She Became is seeking dedicated and collaborative individuals to join our team as volunteer School Coordinators. School Coordinators will play a critical role in leading and managing the operations of participating schools in alignment with our organizational mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Commit an estimated 5 hours per week to completing position tasks.

  • Attend and supervise meetings (typically twice a month) at your designated school, ensuring that discussions and initiatives support our organizational mission.

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Coordinator and student mentors to develop meeting agendas and activities that foster the growth and empowerment of our girls.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the Vice President, communicating updates, concerns, and successes as they relate to our mission and organizational goals.

  • Oversee the implementation of curriculum initiatives and educational programs that align with our mission.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the confidence, leadership, and empowerment of our girls.

  • Maintain strong relationships with students, school faculty, and She Became leadership, actively seeking input and feedback to ensure our programs effectively support our mission.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting and/or with elementary and/or high school students.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and team members.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others towards shared goals.

  • Demonstrated commitment to our organizational mission of empowering girls and championing gender equality.

  • Knowledge of educational best practices and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to effectively work with a range of collaborators, including educators, executive board members, and students.
