PHOTOGRAPHER/ VIDEOGRAPHER
Position Overview
She Became is seeking a creative and visionary individual to join our team as a volunteer Photographer/Videographer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that highlights the experiences, achievements, and impact of our organization's programs and events, while showcasing the confidence and empowerment of the girls we serve.
Responsibilities
Commit an estimated 5 hours per week to completing position tasks.
Attend She Became's events, workshops, and activities to capture compelling photographs and videos that showcase the spirit, energy, and diversity of our participants.
Work closely with the Creative Director and PR teams to understand the organization's brand identity, messaging, and visual storytelling goals.
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to identify key moments and stories worth capturing, ensuring that the photography and videography align with our mission and values.
Edit and retouch photos/videos as needed to enhance their quality and visual appeal, maintaining a consistent style and aesthetic across all content.
Organize and maintain an organized library of digital assets, including photos, videos, and raw footage, for easy access and retrieval by the team.
Adhere to deadlines and deliverables outlined by the marketing and communications team, ensuring that photography/videography projects are completed in a timely manner.
Respect the privacy and consent of all individuals featured in photographs/videos, obtaining permission when necessary and following relevant guidelines and protocols.
Attend at least one She Became school session per month to capture content of students
Qualifications
Proficiency in photography and/or videography, with experience using professional camera equipment, lighting techniques, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
Strong visual storytelling skills, with the ability to capture authentic moments and emotions that resonate with viewers and convey our organization's mission.
Creativity, innovation, and attention to detail in both composition and post-production techniques, with a keen eye for aesthetics and design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to different shooting environments and conditions.
Passion for the empowerment and confidence-building of girls, with a commitment to representing them in a positive and respectful manner through photography and videography.
Previous experience volunteering or working with non-profit organizations, youth programs, or community initiatives is preferred but not required.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, depending on the timing of events and activities.
