DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Position Overview

She Became is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our Executive Board as a volunteer Director of Community Engagement. The Director of Community Engagement will play a key role in managing our volunteer program, organizing volunteer activities, recruiting volunteers, and developing strategies to engage donors and volunteers in our organizational mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Commit an estimated 10 hours per week to completing position tasks.

• Assign prospective volunteers to available opportunities, ensuring alignment with our organizational mission.

• Organize and coordinate volunteer activities that support the growth and development of our students, including exposure to diverse careers and positive role models.

• Recruit volunteers through various channels, with a focus on engaging individuals who share our commitment to gender equality and empowering girls.

• Devise strategies to maintain donor and volunteer engagement with the program, emphasizing the impact of their contributions on the lives of our mentees and the broader community.

• Collaborate with other committees to integrate volunteerism into organizational initiatives and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or related field.

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate volunteers.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies to engage donors and volunteers in a nonprofit setting, with a passion for promoting gender equality and empowering girls.
